Giving Back
NEW for the 2024 season: We are currently transitioning to a 100% community-driven, non-profit model!
That means we rely on donations, grants and fundraisers in lieu of the traditional commercial model. We were inspired by other farms like Veggies to Table and Growing to Give to experiment with this type of model in order to make premium quality whole foods available for FREE to anyone who wants.
Everything we produce this season will go directly to our local food security partners, and we will also open our on-site farmstand once a week June-October on a take-what-you-need / pay-what-you-can basis – with any proceeds going directly back into the project!
-
- In 2021 and 2022 we donated a portion of each harvest to The Magic Food Bus and Healthy Acadia.
-
- For 2023, we took it a step further and committed to offering at least 10% of our entire harvest free-of-charge; either as donations or subsidized farm shares via our community partners.
With support from our patrons and the surrounding community, we hope that each year we can continue to give a larger quantity of produce away FOR FREE.
We believe access to healthy, chemical-free food should be available to everyone. For information on how to participate , either as a financial supporter or as a recipient, please get in touch.
